CPR is about Christians, politics, and religion. CPR groups come together monthly in different locations across the state to listen to a speaker and ask questions about the speaker’s content. Speakers are selected by the host team, and a host-team member conducts the meeting. The speakers may be elected officials, clergymen, or other community leaders. These meetings normally last about 90 minutes with the speaker sharing up to 45 minutes and the Q & A taking the remainder of the time.
CPR friends are invited by email to discuss difficult subjects without giving each other black eyes (wink, wink). Seriously, as Christians, we get to discuss present-day issues in light of the biblical worldview in an atmosphere where we are able to speak openly and agree to disagree when it is appropriate. We will have a friendly discussion about the two subjects we were all told to NEVER talk about in public: politics and religion.
CPR Rules of Engagement:
- Your comments, questions, or answers should be less than a minute.
- Always keep an attitude of Christian love.
- Be able to agree to disagree.
- Look for the biblical perspective for all issues.
- No question is too trivial to ask.
- No subject is too controversial to bring up.
- The speaker is there to only get us started in a discussion.
- Please, honor the moderator and meeting place.
